
The Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) is a registered public
charitable trust (No. B-1409, Bom) in Mumbai, India. It was established in Feb. 1991. It
promotes Islamic dawah - the proper presentation, understanding and
clarification of Islam, as well as removing misconceptions about Islam - amongst less
aware Muslims and non-Muslims.
The IRF has the largest collection in the world of
more than 400 software packages on Islam and comparative religion on CD-ROMs and
diskettes, available for the public (with facilities for using them). The software
consists of Quran and Hadith studies, Fiqh, Islamic children's games, quiz
programmes and research material on Islam and Comparative Religion.
